The price you pay for success
The price you pay for success
Plant an App often makes it to the short list in low-code selections.
- We can compete with the best in the world when it comes to features.
- We are considered #1 when it comes to ease of use and support.
What else makes the difference?
Pricing. Or better, yet: the total cost of ownership (TOC). At Plant an App we offer a plan that is affordable. Above all: it remains that way, also when you are successful. Sounds like it should be, so why is that different? Well, our competitors offer pricing that looks affordable but is a nightmare when you want to scale up.
Be aware for these scenarios
Pay per user
Plans starting at 15 USD per month per user sounds like a good plan. And if you run a small company and only 3 people are ‘users’ you might have yourself a bargain. But if you are a midsize or larger company, your business case goes sideways at warp speed. 100 users means 1500 USD per month. And that is where these plans start. In reality, most of the time, you want features that are add-ons or premium features, easily doubling the monthly fee.
But the kicker is: What is a user? Users are any visitor that logs in to the application. Meaning that if you built a self service portal for your 1000 customers, you have 1000 users.Of course, you might be able to strike a deal but still, the monthly fee will be over 10.000 USD. Ouch…
-> At Plant an App the both Harvest and Enterprise plans include unlimited users.
No surprises there.
Pay per usage
If you think paying per user is a bad spot to be in, pay per usage might even be worse. It all sounds reasonable: “The plan grows along with you” or “Pay only for what you actually use”. Truth is: you have no idea what you signed up for. Because when scaling up, the fee grows exponentially. It is not just a matter of paying extra for the cloud environment. When things get serious, you want backups, security and the amount of API calls keeps on growing. Every feature you turn on, every innovation you like to experiment with, it all increases the bill, easily spiraling out of control. You find yourself in a position where the strategic choice for the low-code platform might block your time to market and development speed.
-> At Plant an App the both Harvest and Enterprise plans are based on the number of applications you made. No hidden fees, no extra’s for using API’s from our end.
